Hands down one of the best investments I've ever made.

I bought a camping stove to take with me on camping trips a while ago and have been eyeing that extra frying pan for a while. I first used it on our hike last weekend and it's without a doubt one of the best investments I've ever made. It is much more convenient to cook all the food on one surface than using several different pots and pans. There were seven of us on this hike so I cooked quite a bit of food over the weekend. Both mornings I cooked pancakes and eggs. I baked over 20 pancakes in about ten minutes because I had such a large surface area. Throw in 12+ eggs and start frying boy you feel like a real chef. The second night I made burgers for everyone and went as smoothly as breakfast. So much space to cook, it's amazing. Love the fact that it has a grease trap that runs the length of the front of the pan. Definitely less mess. My ONLY complaint about it is that it doesn't heat up quite as evenly as I would like. I have a two burner stove top and apparently the heat was even on both burners. However, in the center of the pan, in the space between the two burners, the pan was slightly cooler. I will note that it was a fairly cold weekend on this trip with temperatures in the 30's-40's so I'm pretty sure that was one of the reasons for the uneven temperatures. But even moving food around either side of the pan still leaves you with that much room to cook, and not cooking the middle portion as warm isn't a big deal. In fact, I would move the burgers to this area after putting the cheese on top just to keep them warm without overcooking and giving the cheese a chance to melt. In that sense, the uneven temperature worked really well. I can promise you that you will not be disappointed with this product. Camp Chef knows what he's doing and I would rate this as the #1 accessory for any camp stove!
