When I got my first Otterbox in 2011, I was annoyed by the boring design and bulkiness. I've tried many other phone cases - UAG and other brands I don't remember. Unfortunately, each of these phones ended up with a broken screen as a result of a minor drop. (I once dropped my phone face down on a rock from 8 inches and the screen shattered.) Otterbox is second to none for durability, I don't want to change my screen every year so I'm sticking with Otterbox. Touch ID initially worked fine with the fingerprint scanner, although I'm not 100% sure the problem lies with the Otterbox. After a few months of ownership it stopped working so I ripped off a small piece of plastic. ("Official" channels say not to do this because it makes the phone less waterproof. It seems silly to me because it doesn't cover the speaker on the top of the phone, nor the speakers on the bottom of the phone.)) Unfortunately, my Touch ID doesn't work even after removing the case and cleaning the button. until the phone restarts. Then it worked great with the case. I support this product 100% even though I had to pay for it.
