sharp plastic in waist seam makes it unwearable

I've always loved Cuddlduds. But this time, a sharp piece of plastic is inserted into the seam at the back of the waist, so prickly that it cannot be worn. I tried to pull it out but there is no way to pull it out without tearing the fabric. I can't imagine why there is a piece of clear plastic with sharp edges in the fabric. I would love a new pair. And please pass this information on to hugs. Many Thanks.
