I bought this food processor because my mini food processor broke and I needed something inexpensive. I have now found a lot about the Cuisinart 8 mug and am very glad I did as the direct comparison is very insightful, especially personal. TOO LOUD! My main complaint is that the Hamilton Beach processor is very noisy and high frequency even on the lowest settings. I'm a bit sensitive to noise and this thing literally hurts my ears when I use it. SCALING COMPARISON: I downloaded an app that measures decimal places and here are the readings: Hamilton Beach: HIGH SETTING: 100 decimal places! LOW SETTING: 98 decimal places! Cuisinart Cup Elemental 8 HIGH SETTING: 86.7 decimal places LOW SETTING: 84 decimal places That's a huge difference to my ears. My kids also complain that I use Hamilton Beach. VIDEO: In the video I showed a high setting on Cuisinart, then Hamilton Beach and then a low setting in the same order. I hope this helps you decide.
