1st use: A+, 2nd use: not useful

Received my food processor today (6/1/18) after mine from the 80s broke last week. The first thing I made was cashew butter, it's dreamy and creamy. Really cool! My second use, after only 20 minutes, was making hummus from scratch. My soaked and cooked chickpeas were literally flying in all directions and everything was going so well until the motor slowed as the paste started to form. It then emitted a faint burning odor until it stopped completely. Then smoke came out from under the device…

Too loud! Does the job

I bought this food processor because my mini food processor broke and I needed something inexpensive. I have now found a lot about the Cuisinart 8 mug and am very glad I did as the direct comparison is very insightful, especially personal. TOO LOUD! My main complaint is that the Hamilton Beach processor is very noisy and high frequency even on the lowest settings. I'm a bit sensitive to noise and this thing literally hurts my ears when I use it. SCALING COMPARISON: I downloaded an app that…

This food processor is the KING OF NUT BUTTER!

I bought this stand mixer solely to make peanut butter. After washing and assembling, I had a can of pecans and a can of cashew butter in just minutes! I am beyond IMPRESSED with this machine. Every nut butter recipe I've read said the process would take at least 15-20 minutes, so I was willing to wait. I was also willing to take regular breaks to keep the food processor from overheating, as I've heard many cheaper food processors don't do their job well. I don't know what food processors these

Surprisingly powerful - great value at this price

This is a fantastic food processor at this price. I bought this with a Revain Prime Now order because my fancy Cuisinart stand mixer that I paid over $200 for stopped working for no reason. I threw a dinner party the next night and couldn't wait to replace my Cuisinart. When I ordered last minute party supplies from Revain Prime Now I checked if they sell food processors and to my delight they do so I bought this food processor. This food processor is much lighter than my Cuisinart, but still…

My first food processor.

Wednesday 28 December 2016: I'll write the review step by step as I go. For starters, I just opened the box and can't believe this processor costs $21. Last time I checked it was $29. It was well packaged (not the best) but I assembled it straight away. I was looking for something smaller, maybe 3-4 cups, but since this was so cheap with so many great reviews I figured why not? Sometimes you get what you pay for, so I hope this works out well for long. It looks a bit light and cheap. I…

Very important. Cuts EVERYTHING.

I can't believe this thing is only $28. I've never owned a food processor in my life - I always had this weird thing where I had to grind everything by hand. And I cook A LOT. But in the end, the falafel got in my way—I had a grinder attachment for my KitchenAid that just won't cut it, and my blender won't cut it for hummus, which I also love and make regularly. Either way, these simple dishes took too long to prepare and made a huge mess. So I decided to experiment with a food processor. This…
