I'm giving this device 2 stars because it's such an inexpensive device that will probably be great for some. However, this didn't work for me. I removed the old movement from the watch without any problems and even installed this new movement without much effort. The problem was that it didn't work. I tried another battery, still nothing. I went back and checked the instructions again and everything was set to spec. Except one. Battery. It says that you should only use a carbon battery, as any other battery is too powerful and can burn out the motor. All my batteries are alkaline. All of the batteries I used in my old mechanism were alkaline. I don't even know where to buy a carbon battery and honestly it wasn't worth the hassle. Instead, I buy a new watch.
