SHIT!, followed the instructions to the letter, was told to remove both sides of the foil, although it was only coming from one side of the foil, that thing was "clear" plastic scratched in many places the element was slightly milky (semi-transparent), I inserted it all the way into the base, only about 1/4 of it was lighter than the rest at the bottom of the dimly lit acrylic design element, and there is no 3D effect in a totally dark room (the effect is like a bright LED flashlight directly on it (2D), it looked the same as without the base light except for the colored one. If this product works at all for other people it's me im sure i got the one that skipped factory quality control it is, my iphone has actually improved the glow effect is a bit softer than the picture, in fact it looks up much better in the photo than in real life but still not as advertised and certainly not in 3D. stay away
