Review on πŸ“± Portable Raspberry Touchscreen: 7" Capacitive IPS Display, 1024X600 HD Resolution, Built-In Speakers by Mark Klatt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's a lot less than you can imagine

20200818: This thing is only about 7 inches - not that much. Luckily I just wanted to try and not for anything serious. If you really want to use the screen attached to your Pi, get a bigger screen. .Pi mount board included but not well thought out. All the cables are routed the wrong way around and the Pi is pressed squarely against the controls. You can still reach the controls, but with difficulty. Really disappointed with the cables. The manufacturer supplies special cables to connect the Pi to the screen, but all the cables are wrong. They're not exactly the right length, and the bends aren't in the right direction. It would be much more impressive if the cables had the right length and bends to go from the Pi to the shield terminals without the loop cables sticking out. It wouldn't take long to measure the cables and adjust them optimally for this purpose.
