The first time I received the Z4 bumper/case was in September. At the same time, I noticed that the case doesn't quite protect the screen or camera lens from contact with a flat surface when placed on the front or back, as CaseWe claims. I shared my observations with them. They admitted they were aware of this and are in the process of revising the shape. A few days ago I received a new design replacement case for free. Both the front edge and the rear bumper were slightly raised. Now the screen and lens are not in contact with a flat surface in the horizontal position, although the gap is small. The ruler across the side of the screen indicates that the thickness of the screen is approximately equal to the thickness of the cardboard sheet under the rubber edge. The distance between the lens and the surface is about the same. I think you still have to be careful not to put it facedown in an area where there might be debris, but the new design is a fundamental improvement and I think it fits the bill now. And I love that this "Edge Case" allows for the opening of the back which promotes optimal cooling as heat is the number one enemy of phone circuitry and batteries! I appreciate CaseWe making this improvement and supporting this customer!
