Used this to successfully remove the upper ball joint from a 1998 Dodge B3500. If you are removing the control arm, I highly recommend removing the ball joint first so you can use the weight of the car to hold the control arm in place. I was able to do this with a 1/2" jumper and [[ASIN:B000NPPCKU 1/2 - 3/4"]. I couldn't get enough leverage alone with a broken link and had to add 4ft of tubing to get enough torque.
