Depending on how you turn the head, it may get in the way of your propane tank cap as the back protrudes slightly. I definitely decided to install it on the side so that my bed door opens all the way down. I really liked the smooth running of the engine. It feels and sounds pretty strong. Comparing it to my 3500lb Lippert, this Bulldog was much quieter and more powerful. i like lights I also like the quick action of the pin. I would buy this again. Only 4 stars for some of these issues and the biggest was the first Bulldog I ordered which came with a skew/skew welded round mounting plate. I had to order another one and send the original back.
