I screwed them to the ceiling and hung blackout curtains on them.
This was a great alternative to using a curtain rod to go through the large rings on the curtains. For myself I put three over each window and it holds them up perfectly. Because I don't want the light hitting the computer screen behind me, I rarely open them. I also use them over the back door for a longer version of the curtains.
