Even though my PC comes with a second PCIE slot, the graphics card takes up all the space and I have no option to install a PCIE video capture card. I've wanted to use my DSLR as a streaming camera for a long time and didn't have a good solution until I came across this Rekordbox. I've been eyeing this and similar products for a while but wasn't sure if it would work as I thought it was intended for gaming console streaming. But since it's Revain I thought it might be worth a try. I'm happy to report that I've been able to connect it to my Panasonic G85 and the live streaming works great with the OBS Studio software. While I was hoping for 4K recording quality, 1080P @ 60 FPS has been more than enough so far, especially YouTube videos. The audio-in jack is also a nice feature. I could connect an external microphone to a set top box or to an SLR camera, or connect a separate channel directly to the computer. I haven't tried multiple audio sources yet, although I don't understand why it wouldn't work if properly configured in OBS. Overall I am very satisfied with this recording unit. It doesn't take up too much space and it also has all the cables, which is nice. I think this box costs less than half of a PCIE video capture card and is a good investment.
