09/10/2015 US Art Supply Huntington 72" Aluminum Tripod for Fields and Displays. This easel is not flimsy at all, it's not difficult to assemble and the leg fasteners work great. I will be using this in the studio and as an outdoor easel. Top clip expands and is spring loaded to hold canvases securely. It doesn't hold thin objects like my water board. which I use for watercolor but it holds my thicker board so no problem here. I use a level to make sure the bottom shelf is level and of course secure. I appreciate all the adjustments that can be made to the dual tray. supports as well as legs! For the price this is a great purchase, I would highly recommend it. Another bonus I received a full day earlier than expected! Solid 5-star easel, aluminum tripod with field and WTF display - definitely not on my Christmas wish list. This one is flimsy, cheap and doesn't last as long as the first one. Solid 1 star easel. Headbone too Don't worry the WTF easel wasn't on my wish list and now I'm sticking with it as life hasn't let me paint for months and I didn't fully review it over Christmas as we were busy .TCP thanks for bait and switches - even the photos on the page match the best easel. Since it's hard to know what kind of easel you'll get when you buy it, I'd say do it at your own risk and keep coming back until you get the best one. Check your purchase immediately as the return period is limited. 23.05.2018 "Warranty replacement" received. It is identical to the WTF easel. Only the thumb clips are tighter, but the heads of the canvas shells are still just plastic so they'll eventually shear off due to the presence of sharp holes in the metal shell. Again, it's not worth investing in other easels. It will "work" for now, but I will amend my wishlist to no longer include this item. TCP thanks for the warranty replacement with almost the same item. I'm hoping the thumb latches work better on this one, but I'm not convinced on this one. I prefer C-clamps/locks as they are easier to adjust on the fly and hold up well. I also prefer metal reinforced canvas shelving over solid plastic shelving.
