Set-up was Easy, a Little Heavy

I was not sure what to expect from a 'portable' beech wood easel. I'm pleasantly surprised with the MEEDEN Tripod Field Painting Easel . Mine came with a nylon bag that has pockets. I didn't find the setup difficult at all. All I did was put a bolt through all the leg portions and attach the tray. All the hardware pieces on mine are solid and the wood is cut and sanded well. I strongly suggest becoming familiar with the easel before you are setting up to paint so you can be comfortable before…

really sturdy easel that is also very nice looking

I followed the included instructions for this easel and found it was very easy to setup. Most of the setup is one time only as, once assembled, all you need to do to fit it back in its case is compress the legs and unscrew the tray to make it small enough to fit back in the case. So portability is not an issue with this easel. Once setup you can see that it is a really nice looking easel. It is made of polyurethaned reddish wood and looks quite nice. Know the size of your canvas prior to putting this together!

So I really wanted to love this easel more than I do. First of all the instructions that come with are out of order, the 1st step should have been to place this on the table prior to removing the strap, instead it says remove stamp then place on table. This partí easel needs assembly so everything fell apart as soon as I removed the strap. 2nd the bag it comes in already had a broken zipper. The easel is fine but the Zipper on the bag SUCKS. broken when delivered

Is a nice easel, the reason for choosing this particular easel was because of the bag that came with it to carry it wherever I paint.Zipper that runs the entire length of the bag was broken when I opened the box. Now finding a replacement may not be that simple.I do not believe with the difficulty it has been so far to contact Meeden Art I will ever do any buying with this company again.Nice easel though. Bag/Zipper is less than desired I believe I said.

Great easel - my new review

I love this easel! It is so much easier to carry than my French easel. Nice wood. Well made. Nice carry case. I highly recommend seller. Arrived quickly.

Great quality for my opinion

Very sturdy. Great quality. Looks great. Easy set up and assembly. Wasn’t a big fan of having to attach the shelf each time for set up.

quite sturdy for my opinion

Assembly was a bit of a challenge due to the small diagrams on the directions. Once I figured out what went where it went together rather easily. I do like the easel for it's adjustability and sturdiness. The case that came with mine was intact and seemed to be quite durable. The carrying pockets on the outside of the case are quite handy.

Would recommend! best in my review

I gave this to my girlfriend for Christmas and she has since set it up and working on her next piece. A bit of a challenge to get it set up the first time but it should be easier with practice. She doesn’t plan to travel with it so it has been a nice addition to her home art room. Quick delivery was a bonus during the shopping season.

Real wood and fits large frames

I purchased this as a birthday present for my sister and she said that she couldn’t assemble it. I’m sure it was due to operator error, at this point I can’t give a note worthy review

Missing case, defective part

This easel’s bolt thread was stripped at the top.had to add my own wing nut. Also the earl was missing the case and no word from seller after contacting them. Overall disappointing.

Love the shelf in my review

I love this easel ! The shelf is wonderful.I keep my brush cleaner, paint and my cloth on it. The angle is easy to adjust. Holds my canvas secure. Easy to adjust height and folds neatly in its carrying bag !I would highly recommend.
