One size doesn't fit most

We are a Taekwondo family. Our son is having his first cougar, our daughter is just starting out and my wife and I are both green. We've been training at home since the beginning of COVID, collaborating with our local trainer on Zoom and turning our garage into a useful spare. I ordered them for shock work. The tip of my middle finger to my wrist is about 8 inches long (matches the measurements listed in the product description) but I can't fit my hand into the glove piece at all. This forces me to put my hand on the outside and use the strap to secure it when acting as a holder. My wife and kids can easily use the glove portion, but I'm usually the one who does that portion of the training. At home. My hands are not unusually large. When I practice football I wear a size 10 goalkeeper glove. Aside from this issue, this product works as intended. For the price, this is a relatively good deal if you have smaller hands than me.
