If you hate germs, get this spray. I didn't think I would see the effect so clearly in the house and tried to make sure it wasn't a mental trick. BUT it seems to have helped prevent the spread of the disease around the house, the wife slept in the same bed - very contagious and I've dodged her twice. The product does a good job of stopping the growth of germs (mold, I see). Will not remove stains or cause mold. First you need to clean the area and get rid of moisture problems. This spray can help neutralize some of the mold during and definitely after cleaning. Where I've used this at home and fixed the moisture issues the mold hasn't returned. It has a really sweet smell, similar to the neutral smell of a germ-free hospital or the smell of a freshly cleaned dentist's office. This scent doesn't really last more than a few days and is very faint. I have chemical sensitivities and have had no problems using this in my bedroom, everyone may have a different experience. I used it after vacuuming twice and using carpet cleaner with just hot water vinegar and half dish soap (less than a drop). Room radio has been in check for a lot longer than just carpet cleaning and weekly linen changes. I also used it on a mattress to get rid of the smell. I wouldn't use it if it wasn't rated food safe. Cost should limit your exposure and I don't think you will or should be using this in your home on a daily basis unless someone is very ill and you need to protect other family members. I usually use it in the bedroom after a thorough cleaning and let it do its thing for a day with the fans on (clean the fans frequently to kill germs). Ideal for disinfecting doorknobs! I even used it for my plastic fan parts that I could take apart for cleaning. I didn't think it would be any different, but the dust in the fan helped the smells return to the room quicker (I guess it kept out some of the smell-causing culprits). I also used this in a window. Conditioner that we can't remove until I've sealed it airtight. The next season it smelled like Vital Oxide and didn't get moldy from what we could tell. I try to clean everything to make sure mold can't grow, although I have to disassemble the AC (did it a couple of times) that's the key - this product isn't going to solve a whole forest of problems. .
