We liked the size and number of ice cubes they produce. Water freezes quickly, so when we transfer it to another container and refill it, we always have ice. That's good news. The bad news is that getting the ice corner pieces is very difficult as the plastic is quite hard. I agree and leave those dice if they don't come out. However, my husband and giant teenage son see these ice cubes as a challenge of their power or something and try to force the cubes. I ordered 2 sets of these (i.e. 6 trays) on March 4th. Two are already broken in half. Yes, it's a lack of character, but it's more of a design flaw - I grew up with ice buckets (we even had metal ones) and none of them have ever broken. Don't mind replacing every 6 months or so, or if you and your loved ones can stave off corner ice problems, buy it! You will love them. 4 stars for the size (reducing one because I need a lot of these!).
