I have a 2 month old baby bearded dragon and even with his 100 watt heat bulb 10 inches away I couldn't get the temperature right (the temperature stuck at 80-85 degrees at his heating point) that is a great addition and now he has the perfect temperature curve in his terrarium! I bought a 150 watt ceramic heat lamp and keep it 24 inches from the bottom of his terrarium, just above where he heats up. its warm side is now 100-105 degrees and the cool side is 80-85 degrees. definitely recommended for reptiles that need high temperatures with large enclosures (mine is 48x24x24).
