I've been looking for a serious artist for a long time for colored pencils. I bought this set as a Christmas present for a child who couldn't tell me what they wanted as a present. She is a gifted little artist and I felt this set was of great caliber and therefore worthy of her. she liked them. I was so impressed with them that after she told me how much she liked them I decided to buy me another set. I'm not an artist, but I find painting very relaxing. I have bought some wonderful books and am very happy about them. I would buy this set without hesitation. I also love all the extra items in the set and its portability for situations like waiting room, hospital stay, visiting grandma etc.
