Good for a frightened reply
Don't expect the beautiful flutter of a butterfly flying out of an open book. They fly, but suddenly and for a short distance. Such an action from a device using a rubber band is expected. It's more of a scared response than a "WOW". Good for playing in the wind and letting go but I suspect a brief interest against a rubber band plane. When we were kids we made rattlesnake eggs in an envelope. : a slingshot-shaped hairpin, a paper clip and an elastic band - the same surprise, but not a flight. One pack is enough for me and the price is reasonable.
