I usually wear a size 8.5 so I bought a size 10. Perfect. I rotate as I should with no pain in my knee or ankle. And the shoes have enough grip so that my feet don't slide out from under me during Zumba. My only problem was that shortly after I started wearing them I started getting pain in my heel. I couldn't understand what was going on. Until the lightbulb burns out! Yes, these are shoes. Thus, the middle part of the shoe has no support. GENERAL. I thought there would be something in the arch that was supportive but flexible. nope no It's like wearing 2 soles on one shoe. Where I had heel pain was exactly the part where the sole of the heel started. So I tried putting in some insoles (just regular Dr. Scholl insoles) and the problem was solved! I did not remove the ones that came with the boot; they are pretty thin. So I read online somewhere that these shoes had GREAT support and cushioning. Not true. I am very happy with them so far and since the insoles solved the problem they work great. Still. I don't think I will buy them again. I will try something else. But I love them for Zumba 4 days a week! No more trouble.
