These helped quite a bit on our long flight (over 10 hours) to Europe. I had never used compression socks before and had experienced some swelling in my feet after long flights so I thought I would give them a try. They actually did work pretty good. Trying to figure out what size to buy was difficult on the web site so after reading several reviews I ordered a small. I wear a size 8-8 1/2 in women's shoes and the small was fine. The only thing I would have wanted is for it to come in a black color since that was the color of most of my pants.
