I have decided to replace my standard SD card with a higher MB/s card. And it was worth it. It really helps my camera shoot faster. I will probably increase the speed on my next purchase to make the camera even faster. I think it's worth the extra money. One piece of advice I've learned is don't oversize your SD cards. If you have all your pictures on an SD card, you can lose that SD card and all your pictures if you don't split your pictures into smaller cards. I would recommend a card with higher megabytes per second. Instead, put your images on multiple smaller SD cards so you're not SOL if you lose one.
