I was looking for a good primer for our growing dog. Easy to put on, easy to clean, etc. This fleece material is easy to care for and the Velcro closures ensure a comfortable and secure fit even as our dog grows. He likes it! Good value for the price shown. Some of the other coats we reviewed fit in length but not in girth or vice versa. Some have focused more on style or novelty than functionality. This is a good base coat in every respect. EDIT: After using this coat for a while I downgraded my rating by one star. Velcro fasteners ("Velcro") do not hold as tightly as they should. We have to press really hard to make them hold; more than i should. I was hoping it would get better with wear or wash.
