This is a great humidifier for your bed. I use it to prevent dry mouth at night and it works very well. I get stuffy nose at night and this helps prevent my nasal passages and throat from drying out while I sleep. Holds just the right amount of water for a night when set to intermittent. The light is good but I rarely use it. A few tips: Only use distilled water. It keeps the filter clean and lasts much longer. Soak the filter on both sides for the first time, then insert it into the top of the unit. The filter must be fully saturated to draw in water. Read the instructions to understand how to correctly activate intermittent mode by double-clicking the switch. The light can be turned off while the humidifier continues to emit steam. The price for it was excellent - ten dollars. **Update: The problems started about a week after the positive review was written. Water collects on top of the humidifier, soaking the table it's on. Not sure what's going on, but the water vapor seemed to settle on the top of the device and only drip down the sides. That's a lot, not a small drop, but wet mush. It makes a real mess and I have to keep it on a plate to catch the water. Lowered it to 2 stars due to the issues I had. There is no obvious way to fix this. **Update-2: Had to return this at the end as water was simply pooling on top of the humidifier making a mess. This still creates fog, but drops of water form at the top for a few seconds, collect, and then run down the walls. Hope good luck next
