So when I ordered this, I thought it would be widerat the rake portion. But, it turned out to be just perfect. The spokes are about a half inch wide, and the head is about 6 inches wide spoke to spoke.The head came detached and assembly was just a matter of screwing it to the pole.The overall feel is great, very sturdy. And I found that it is simple to operate.Getting under the unmentionables.and raking it thru the grass is simple and effective. When I'm done I simply spray it with the hose and voia! It's clean. I pair it with a bucket lined with a grocery sack and go about my yard, and it makes quick work of the doggy doo.Thank goodness, because I got a puppy that turns out to be some giant type of mastiff. no idea how big yet but his unmentionables are large. (And numerous)I feel pretty confident that this will last for a lot longer than the previous plastic scooper I had. (One month)5 stars. Will update if something breaks before a year. I'm feeling like this one will last a few.
