After years of grumbling about a bad switch and having to apologize again to my dog for not being able to just roll this window down, I went online to see if a) a normal human could replace it and b ) if it were at a reasonable price. After watching help videos on youtube found that a and b are easy to get. The part was replaced in 5 minutes by a regular non-auto repair shop and didn't have to be replaced at the dealership for hundreds of dollars. I'm happy, the dog is happy, and we can get on with our lives and enjoy the movement of the window with a working switch. Best of all, only 2 tools and a pair of hands were needed to replace the module.
