These pull handles have breathed new life into my old dresser. However, I had an issue as the pre-drilled holes in the old hardware were larger in diameter than the screws for these drawers. I used a wall hanger kit with standard 1" screws and small anchors to attach the screws to the back (see photo). I hand screwed in the plastic dowels until they were flush with the back of the drawer while holding the screw in place. in front of the drawer with a screwdriver. Then I tightened the screw on the front while holding the plastic anchor with my hand. Finally I cut off the excess plastic and voila! You feel safe and since this dresser is in my spare room I don't expect everything in the drawers to be that heavy. I think this solution will work even with some weight in the drawers as the anchors are designed to hold up to 15 or 20 pounds. I hope this helps someone else. I'm glad I was able to use them because the price couldn't be better compared to hardware store prices.
