Fits Colt plunge mills and all included

This Bosch jig kit includes everything you need to install on a Colt mill with a Bosch plunge base. I have looked at the product reviews and descriptions but am not sure if this set will fit my Colt Tiller with Bosch Plunge Base. Answer: Yes, it will, and this kit includes all the necessary parts. The adapter ring needed to install the template guides on the piston base is included. You also get another base ring, called a thread guide, which allows you to use Porter cable template guides on a Bosch dip base. The adapter is a large ring with two screws attached to it. These screws fit into the base of the Colt Plunge Router (the holes are already in place) and hold the ring into which the template guides are inserted. The guides are mounted on the ring by screwing them into the grooves on the adapter ring. On the router side of the adapter is a kind of big black square knob that you pull back, clearing the way for you to install the rails in the adapter. After releasing the black button, the sliding part of the adapter snaps into place and the rails are held securely. I tested the 5/8 guide against a slotting jig I made for slotting. The Bosch manual is exactly the same as my Porter Cable 5/8 manual. Guide templates extend the possible uses of the router. I use them, for example, to cut grooves and grooves. To make a bracket that fits the rail, select a piece by the size of the slot and then use the appropriately sized rail to fit into the base of the adapter. Suppose you want to cut a 1/4 groove. While you can choose a guide that fits the bit exactly, I would choose a 5/8 guide as I could use bits larger than 1/4 and cut different slot sizes with one tool. To make the base of the bracket, choose a piece of wood about 14 inches long, a few inches wider than the base of the router and at least as thick as the length of the router guideโ€”unless you plan to sand down the guide extension. - and cut it in half lengthwise, i.e. the direction you want the slit to go. Then cut a 5/8 plus 1/64 piece lengthwise from the base. Cut this 5/8 piece in half. Then calculate the required groove length. This slot is equal to the slot length plus the offset from the template guide to the cutter. For example, a 5/8 guide with a 1/4 nozzle has an offset of 3/4 (3/8 x 2). Glue the base together with the two 5/8 pieces placed in the middle leaving a 1 3/4 slot in the mount. Now you have a base with a hole 5/8 wide and 1 3/4 long. Place the center lines at the ends and center of the jig slot. Now mark the center of the groove on your shaft. Place the stem under the base you just built and place a fence on the base that will keep the stem parallel to the hole at the right distance to center the slot. Vices help. Attach the material to the jig in the middle of the layout lines. Then insert the plunge router into the guide slot and cut the slot in 1/4 inch increments. The jig template and router guides keep the router in line and bring it to a standstill with little effort on your part. And every cut will be the same. With a good nozzle and guides, you can cut the groove much faster. slots too. You can also cut templates for designs and create templates yourself. AD2
