While it is true that the end caps are not properly machined for the o-rings supplied, replacing 16 or 17 x 1.5mm O - Ringing provides an adequate seal (and possibly after) application of the pump. I could slightly machine the ends for o-rings but that would expose bare aluminum which would corrode faster due to the methanol I run it through. Also, I always use Permatex #85420 for all aluminum threads. It acts as a lubricant, sealant and is resistant to fuel and ethanol.
