I haven't completely given up on them yet.
This is just one of many cheap child safety products that do the job they're intended for, but may be more trouble than they're worth. It's not rocket science, but it's a real chore to align the cables in the right direction with adequate cable length, and also to wrap and snap everything. You think you've finally made it and then you pull the cord to adjust the blinds and the caps fly apart and now you have to untangle the tangle of threads. Maybe I'm just missing the magical touch, but I'm very happy with twisting the cords into a ball and securing it with a bobby pin. it's less work and very efficient.
