They will not be composted

I ordered these for my drying cabinet in March 2019. We throw our human resources on the compost heap a little way from our house. Before I added these sacks of human matter to our compost, my compost would break down and get smaller over time. After I add them, it will break more slowly; Not only did it fill the compost faster without shrinking as it normally does, but the plastic didn't decompose at all. I don't see any signs of degradation. I don't know what the decomposition time is, but they don't decompose in my compost heap. I've read that it can take 3-6 months to compost a compostable bag - bags haven't been composted yet and that's almost 9 months ago now. Now I'm worried that I'll have to go through my entire "human" compost pile and manually remove all the bags. Disappointed and won't buy again. Totally confused. I've searched the internet and haven't found anyone who has actually tested this product to make sure the plastic is still there 3-6 or even 12 months after burying or hiding their poop, and that's without a compost heap.

Pros
  • Compost bag
Cons
  • Large and bulky
