I got this specifically for drinking hot leaf infusions. I prefer either Yaupon or Guayusa wood, which can't be too sharp and bitter like Camellia Sinensis does. This jar makes it easy and convenient for me to use these leaves by simply filling it with hot water throughout the day. The glass is well made and corresponds to the photos in other reviews. Reading and strictly following the care instructions will enhance your experience. I like the strap loop - it's really (erm) handy. While I'm careful with my glass, I agree with the reviewer who suggested making the strap clip out of something that won't scratch the surface. The glass also fits in the cup holder in my car, which is an important requirement. I'd like to see an option for sip-from coverage. The current lid is great for insulation and protection, but you're pretty much drinking from an open container while enjoying the contents of the glass. I used to use a plunger tea glass; This glass is much easier to clean. The volume capacity is perfect! The isolation suits my needs; Your criteria may differ. I like it very much - highly recommended!
