First reading is unreliable.
I tested it in a pot of boiling water and it registered 200 degrees. It has instructions for loosening and recalibrating the nut on the back, but it's impractical. Confidence that the reading will eventually be within 5 degrees of 180. I want to brew green tea in a thermos.
