I already had an ASUS RT-AC68P router and liked the performance, quality and ease of use, so of course I trusted Lyra Voice as a viable product. Option if you are looking for a mobile Wi-Fi solution. For the price I not only got the high-performance WiFi of the AC2200, but also Alexa functionality, wired connections and a decent-sounding speaker to play music on demand. My ASUS router is upstairs and across the house (2200 square feet) from my game console and laptop which I use in my basement. Because of this, the 5GHz connection was useless and the 2GHz connection was unstable. I used an Ethernet cable from the router to the game console. This took care of my gaming, but the wifi on my laptop still suffered. I reconnected the wired connection to the Lyra Voice and the LAN out to my console. The ASUS router app was already installed on my phone, so I opened it up and once Lyra booted up, setup was easy. Within about 5 minutes I had 5GHz WiFi on my laptop and in every corner of my house with no signal loss. The Alexa functionality works the same as my Tap. While the bass and volume are disappointing compared to the Tap and the smaller, tablet-style Bluetooth speaker I own, I'd still buy this device for all of its other features for the price. Because of this, it maintains a 5-star rating. Ideal for ASUS routers or WiFi extenders.
