I'm upgrading my Intel i5 9400 to an Intel i7 9700 for PCVR games like Stormland, Lone Echo, Asgard's Wrath and Half Life Alyx which have some annoying lags. My GPU is GTX 1650 super. The processor is very easy to install. This version came with a stock Intel fan with cooling gel pre-applied. After the drivers were installed, I initially couldn't tell any difference while surfing the web, playing movies, and non-VR games, just like on the i5. VR gaming has been covered. The lag is almost completely gone with some graphical improvements in all the above games. Graphics in auto settings are still low in some games and high in others due to my GPU, but games run smoother. I would recommend it for PCVR or video editing users but not for normal tasks like web browsing, movies or general gaming which I wouldn't recommend.
