Do not buy!

Original review 10/18/2014: Good if you're careful. But it's not very durable. I also had to fiddle a bit because the thumbscrews under the platform are too close to the wing nuts, making them difficult to tighten. Luckily I had 6mm nuts to replace the wing nuts with. That worked much better. The stand still tends to tip over if you don't position the legs properly. Update January 15, 2015: Well, I should have given this one star (or none!). It went like this for three months. He turned around for the last time. One of the legs was broken. That sucks! I guess my frustration is still fresh, but really, who designs these things? I can't tell you how many times it has tipped over with my laptop and collided with other things in the area. I mentioned in my original review that it's not very durable. Now that's a massive understatement! My advice is to avoid this item and look for something with a better base, something more solid, with a lower center of gravity that isn't as heavy at the top. I also attached a small music stand with a clip (which served as a mouse pad) {http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OR7X1S/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_54} and just screwed it in, leaving deep dents in the pipe. . This tells how thin the metal is. Seriously, take advantage of my misfortune and don't waste your money on it.
