They seem very reliable when you receive them. They are solid metal and there are 2 keys in each set but now we know why. Installing the 2018 JK is tricky, but once you get your hands on the right key, you're good to go. The brackets are easily adjustable so you can line things up nice and tight. The snap mechanism keeps the hood in place. Our hood no longer cracks in high winds or behind a large 18 wheel vehicle. The locking mechanism doesn't line up with the locking slot and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust this. The latch assembly is too loose and needs to have a slot for the key to keep it from turning. You can tighten the lock nut to alleviate the situation, but you cannot fix this problem. We've tried various ways to get the locks to engage and the only solution I can think of is to remove the bottom (which is really difficult to install) and cut a slot so the locking tab is properly aligned . I do not recommend.
