I wanted a cool new 49 inch curved monitor after seeing it in an office I visited. I bought this particular model for a number of reasons - mainly the ability of KVM and PIP to run 2 computers on the same screen and get rid of the dual monitor setup I previously had. There are no instructions included with the kit. This is a business class monitor, not a commercial one. So you can't get support from Samsung's commercial side and the support from the business side is terrible. There is no user manual for this monitor, that's what I was finally told after going through the BS registration on 2 websites for support. But if you use commercial monitor part number BN46-00921A-Eng for the 43-inch curved screen, everything applies. Took me about 4 hours to get this from Samsung. Please. ;-) the screen is excellent - the resolution is normal for work applications - I don't use it for gaming. I have no problems with the picture, I really like the curve, the size is great. All my friends are jealous, and with good reason. KVM works. But it doesn't work very well. It's really disappointing because I bought it for this function. When the monitor arrived I didn't have the cables to connect the two systems. So I connected it to one and used it. remote desktop for another. The thing is, after getting the necessary cables and connecting them, I came to the conclusion that using Remote Desktop for the second system is a better solution than KVM and PIP. The screen lets you do this, of course, but the fact that KVM is virtually useless is frustrating. change - and goes through a lengthy process to make the switch - it also often loses its configuration, and when you turn off the monitor all your settings are erased. PIP is also disappointing - you can't adjust the size beyond the 3 fixed sizes, and you can't adjust the position away from the 6 predefined positions - none of these worked for me and they all wasted a ton of screen real estate. unless you want to split it in half, which I didn't want to do. If you want it split in half, PBP will work, but KVM will drive you crazy I guarantee. I also tried using Samsung's "Easy Grid" software. This works too, but I find window snapping annoying and ended up turning it off as well. You can turn off snapping, but you have to do it per window. I have more important screen time things to do. So, I end up using a big screen and I really like it, but the functionality I researched for hours and finally decided to buy this monitor I don't use anything because of it. about that. I should also note that I lost a number of pixels within 2 days of turning it on. Revain is taking very good care of me with this issue. but damn. So yes - it hurts to give this monitor 3 stars. Picture 5 stars. Everything else is 1 or 2 at best.
