I received the TP8268 yesterday. So far, so good. This meter has a lot of features for a great price and seems to be a solid device. I thought it was a backlight issue as I thought that pressing the backlight button toggled the backlight on and off, but that's not the case. Also, the backlight didn't turn off until I turned off the meter. I emailed Electronix and received an immediate response. The button turns on the backlight, but shouldn't turn it off. It should turn off after a short time. I was prompted to remove and reinsert the battery. This will reset the backlight auto off and it will work fine. Excellent customer support from Electronix! I'll be getting a multi-voltage reference module soon and see how accurate this meter is. But it seems correct compared to the other gauge I have. With a DC voltage tolerance of +-0.5%, this is a good $25 deal. I will update if necessary. 3/25/17 Sat. Update: TP8268 meter vs. reference voltage (AD584 LH) received today, assuming the reference voltage is accurate, I observed the following measurements. 1st column = voltage 2nd column = measured reference voltage from manufacturer 3rd column = TP8268 voltage measurements with an accuracy of ±%. The TP8268 DC voltage tolerance given on the Tekpower website is ±0.5%. v - 10.00105 - 9.99 = -0.1%, * maybe ±0% if the reference/voltage was allowed time to settle. across the board is ±0.00%*Amazing!
