This product can be dangerous as the adhesive material is very irritating to the skin. A week after the surgery, having spent a lot of money on one of the competing brands, I decided to try them. Luckily I applied them with a gauze pad, if I had applied them directly to the incisions the results could have been much worse. A few minutes after application, the skin began to itch. I just missed the itchy feeling as part of the healing process. After about four hours, I could no longer bear the discomfort and removed the patches. My skin was bright red, like first degree sunburn, and itchy badly. I replaced these patches with a very large gauze pad and cloth band because I couldn't put anything else on my skin. Within hours my skin was red, raised, inflamed and blistered the next day! This product caused second and third degree burns on my skin!
