After reading many reviews I decided to go with 50mm front and rear wheels. I live in a pretty windy area. So 50 mm was a good balance between aerodynamics and strong side wind protection. If I had to do it all over again I'd probably end up with a 50mm front wheel and 88mm rear, but I'm not disappointed. I will say that I noticed a slight improvement in speed over 25 miles. Anywhere between 0.25 and 0.5 mph. When you drive them they make a unique sound that I personally like. It's not louder, just different. I haven't noticed any issues with braking distance, even on fast descents, so the reviews complaining about this seem exaggerated. In terms of quality, they appear reliable and authentic. The balance was perfect. I took a few hits from debris in the first 500 miles I rode, including a pretty hard hit from a bent piece of metal that I was pretty sure the spoke broke but didn't. Some extra knitting needles are included in the kit which is nice if that ever happens. Overall, they're feather light, balanced, and seem strong enough to last a long time. That makes them a steal compared to expensive brands like Zipp. If you're on the fence like me, I suggest giving it a try. You can replace them twice and still spend less than name brand wheels. Final suggestion - get some pipes with 80mm Presta valves. Using extension cords is cumbersome, so save yourself the headache.
