My husky had a licking granuloma on his front paw that he wouldn't leave alone. We struggled with this for months, left the e-collar on him for weeks, tried ointments and ointments. Nothing helped. The wound was right on top of his paw and when we wrapped the plug strip around the paw it went right over the pads underneath. It wore out very quickly and fell off as he ran down the sidewalk. So this is a limitation of the device.
