Review on πŸŽ’ CamelBak Motherlode: Mil Spec Hydration Backpack with 100 OZ / 3L Capacity by Rob Parsons

Good alternative to the 3 day Blackhawk with organization and the best water bladder you can buy

I have a 3 day Blackhawk and it's a tank. Basically it's just 3 garbage bags, from big to small, with no organization. This is a military backpack designed for boars to easily toss in slings, magazines, and MREs when charging a target. I love it. That's the poor GORUCK man. But sometimes you want a single admin wand to hold a felt tip pen, pen, pencil, etc. This camelbak is the perfect twist and ultimately a more thoughtful 3 day attack style pack with a larger main compartment, smaller external compartments and a much easier to service bladder compartment that comes with the best 3 liter bladder money can buy. Shoulder straps could be thicker and more resistant but that's ok. I wouldn't want to carry more than 25-30 pounds, that's more than enough. I could carry the same amount more comfortably with a Blackhawk. I believe this pack was popular in a few European milliliters or recommended for individual purchase while Blackhawk was more commonly used in the US. The material is less durable than Blackwawk (1000D vs. 500D Cordura) but should last for years of hard use. . The haircut is strong. The zippers are smooth. I wish there were strong zippers instead of a drawstring, but that's no big deal. The hip belt doesn't take as much weight off your shoulders, but it's functional and stows in the back of your pack instead of detaching it on the Blackhawk. Inside, the backpacks also have mesh pockets and a lighter colored lining (coyote is blue and black is grey), making it much easier to find what you need. A black hawk is a black hole. Dark things will be lost which is why I chose the Blackhawk 3 Day Coyote.
