I've spent 40 years reading HVAC technical manuals and working in the commercial services industry so I know electrical and mechanical equipment very well. I know how healthy 70 years. My old skills aren't as good as they used to be, but installing a fan and light combo isn't difficult. For someone who might just be a regular dye it will take a lot of patience to install this following their terrible instructions. I've always said let the MIT guys design and build things, but don't write instructions, ask one of the janitors to write instructions and then the average person will have no problem understanding them. Back then, the most frustrating question I asked Hunter engineers was: are the glass cases around the bulbs clear or frosted? I had to email them this question 3 times and got 3 different answers. To solve this problem, I went to a big Q&A site and asked a question there. Well someone from Hunter finally responded to the big boxes on the website and simply said that they are covered in a very nice finish. One of the smartest answers I got from Hunter was: You're covered in frost. THE? I'm not sure, it seems like a contradiction in terms, clear and opaque at the same time, okay, I see. Then I wanted a 3 gang dimmer switch because I didn't want to use an old switch that might not be compatible with new electrical components. I looked at the details of the accessories they have, I selected one and emailed Hunter. I like to punish myself with the part number. Is this switch compatible with my fan? I'm back, this SHOULD work. I was so glad to hear that this should work instead of working. After this is all installed it works great, I know this because my wife likes it.
