My fiance wanted this for her office and it ended up being a great addition to her decor. It’s the perfect size for a desktop or bookshelf. The bag on the base is very natural looking (we ordered the beige linen base) and the tree is very full for a miniature tree. We didn’t have any problems with separating the branches and fluffing the tree out from its compressed box state. The lights are tiny LEDs and they are powered by 3 AA batteries. That was a little bit of a surprise because the description didn’t mention battery-operated at all. The control box has several settings on it and it does turn off automatically after so long to preserve battery power. The branches are large enough to hold ornaments, but my fiance decided to leave it bare and only decorated with the lights. It’s a nice holiday decoration and a very good value.
