My son needed more storage options in his room, so we decided to swap out his platform bed with this metal bed. I was a bit skeptical because it was rather inexpensive. With the help of our curious Goldendoodle, it took him about 90 minutes to assemble the bed. It arrived in a rather small box, but was well packed. Nothing was bent, scratched or damaged. The "wood" is laminated, but looks nice. Directions are easy to follow. An Allen wrench and small wrench are included. When he plopped down on the bed, I was expecting to hear squeaking, but it was silent. We've only had it one day, but so far so good.
