Thermometer seems to be of good quality. The instruction manual is nicely printed and informative. It comes with a nice carry case that makes it easy to store or carry around. Require 2 AAA batteries, but not included. It works a little differently than some other non-contact thermometers. It can be used as a non-contact or in-the-ear test. You select an age group button and then press the big button to turn it on. Then point the thermometer at the forehead at a distance of 0-3 cm (according to the instructions for use), press the large button and release the button. Reading appears immediately. Don't hold down the button. I made this mistake when I first used it without reading the user manual. If you press and hold the button for 2 seconds, it will switch to memory view mode. If you continue to hold the button, the beep will turn off after 5 seconds. If you accidentally turn off the sound, press and hold the button again for 5 seconds to turn it back on. I also like the small size of this thermometer. Highly recommended.
