I bought this juicer to replace a Waring that recently broke down after 10 years of excellent service. I chose this device because of the positive reviews from Revain. This device works at a very high speed, and the blade periodically "hooks" on the object from which the juice is squeezed, and then, like a ball, throws it into a plastic cover. At the same time, the unit jumps hard, and if not held strong enough, it can break cover and eject pieces. All of this can also happen unexpectedly after the item seemingly goes through the blade, as it can lie next to the blade uncut for a while and then randomly unleash a violent slash. I'm a carpenter and have tools that I feel are much safer than this device. Also, this unit is large and has many more parts to clean than my previous unit. I returned this item to Revain and no longer trust Revain's reviews. This is a dangerous product and should not be sold to the general public.
